Varun Kaushik was born in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, and later moved to Mumbai, one of India’s major centers for entertainment, advertising and film production. His professional journey has developed through several sections of the visual media industry.
Kaushik began his career in television, working on reality shows for established television networks. The experience introduced him to production workflows and the practical demands of creating content for large audiences.
His career then moved toward commercial advertising and ad-film production. This phase connected his work with brands and visual marketing while giving him opportunities to work in different commercial formats.
In 2019, Kaushik founded Varun Kaushik Films in Mumbai. The company works across television commercials, digital films, brand films, photography, digital content and production services. Its portfolio has included commercial projects associated with brands including Samsung, MG Hector, Godrej Interio, Mahindra, Men of Platinum, Dalda and Luminous Solar Panels.

Kaushik is now entering feature cinema with MIYAAD, an upcoming Hindi feature film scheduled for 2027. He is credited as the writer, director and producer of the project.
